Calvin Hawks

Undergraduate Student Researcher
B.S. Student, Creative Technology & Design and Computer Science

I am a third-year undergraduate student at the University of Colorado Boulder pursuing a double major in Creative Technology and Design and Computer Science, along with a certificate in Engineering Leadership. I am a student researcher in the Burleson Lab, where I collaborate with a team on a project exploring engineering alumni post-graduation career experiences. Our work focuses on understanding how engineers develop the skills, mindsets, and support systems that help them navigate the transition from education into the workforce. Through interviews with alumni, I aim to translate lived professional experiences into insights that can better prepare current students for working in the field of engineering.

Beyond research, I am interested in combining design, technology, and storytelling to create meaningful and human-centered products.  I am a passionate creative and love to practice as many forms of art as I can, such as woodworking, pottery, painting, and sewing.
