Hi! I’m Debbie Hodson and am a first-year PhD student in Mechanical Engineering with a passion for applying my engineering background to tackle wicked problems facing society today. Specifically, I hope to use my engineering background and interest in bridging communications between different groups to design affordable and innovative technology for rural communities, with a particular focus on agriculture and renewable energy. I am excited to begin working with the Burleson Global Design Group and engaging with the CU Boulder community this fall!

Also, coming from the Midwest, I’ve been enjoying Boulder’s outdoors with hiking and biking, and hopefully getting back into climbing!
