I am currently beginning my final year of Industrial Engineering at Universidad Carlos III de Madrid. During the previous academic year, I had the opportunity to complete my junior year at the University of Colorado Boulder as an international exchange student. After finishing my exchange year, I was able to continue my experience at CU Boulder by joining the Burleson Global Design Group for the summer through the Summer Program for Undergraduate Research (SPUR).

Next year, I will complete my degree in Spain with a specialization in Mechanical Engineering. After graduating, I plan to continue my education by pursuing a master’s degree that will allow me to expand my knowledge and explore new areas within engineering.

My education in Spain has focused primarily on developing technical and analytical skills. Although I consider these competencies essential, I also believe that communication, teamwork, leadership, critical thinking, and professionalism are fundamental to becoming a well-rounded engineer and succeeding in the workplace.

For this reason, I was particularly interested in becoming involved in a project focused on the development of professional competencies within engineering education. My participation in this project has reinforced my belief that engineering programs should combine strong technical preparation with opportunities to develop interpersonal and professional skills.

In my free time, I am very active and enjoy all kinds of sports, especially team sports. During my time in Boulder, I also learned how to climb and ski, and both have become two of my favorite sports.
